LongFamilyHistory - LongFamilyHistory is a genealogy software program for Windows. It can store informations about relatives, these data can be arranged into different orders and can be viewed both in textual and graphical way. Data can be associated with further files. The purpose of the application is to help keep the memories of ancestors and relatives alive in the family, to assist present and future family members in getting to know the everyday life of their ancestors. Users can import their existing GEDCOM databases to use with this application.

This legal document is an agreement between you, the end user (‘User’), and Philosoft Ltd (‘Author’).

AGREEMENT - By installing LongFamilyHistory (‘Software’), copying the Software and/or clicking on the ‘I Agree’ button during installation, you agree to all of the terms of this software license agreement (‘Agreement’). If you do not agree with all of the terms of this agreement, click on the ‘I Do Not Agree’ button and/or do not install, copy or otherwise use the software.

Software License Agreement

This legal document is an agreement between you, the end user (‘User’), and Philosoft Ltd (‘Author’).

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY - The Software and any associated materials are protected by copyright law concerning all Intellectual Property Rights in effect here and worldwide. ‘Intellectual Property Rights’ means any and all rights existing from time to time under patent law, copyright law, trade secret law, trademark law, unfair competition law, and any and all other proprietary rights, and any and all applications, renewals, extensions and restorations thereof, now or hereafter in force and effect worldwide. The package is a proprietary product of the Author.

You acknowledge that the Author owns all rights, title, ownership and interest in and to the Software.

You agree not to modify, adapt, translate, decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the Software.

LIMITED USE OF THE SOFTWARE - You may download and use the Software for free for an unlimited period of time, the only limitation being unable to modify any database containing more than 30 persons. The Author grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and to use the Software.

UNLIMITED USE OF THE SOFTWARE - If you wish to use the Software with database(s) of any size, i.e. without limitation, you need to send an order form to Admin@Philosoft.hu. After buying the license you will get a License File from the Author, which you need to copy onto your hard drive, and enter the filename to the appropiate field in the "License Key" feature of the application.

For the terms of this Agreement you may: (a) install and use the Software application on a single computer, and (b) copy the Software for back-up or archival purposes only. Subject to the terms in this agreement, the Author grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and to use the standard version of the Software. You may not sell, lease, publish, license, sub-license or create derivative works from any software, materials or information associated with the Software, without first obtaining written permission from the Author by contacting Admin@Philosoft.hu.

SOFTWARE SUPPORT - Any request for technical help concerning the usage of the Software can be addressed to the Author by e-mail, to Support@Philosoft.hu

UPGRADES - This license does not entitle you to any future upgrades or updates of software, although the Author may decide to make such upgrades or updates freely available. If you have comments about the Software or ideas on how to improve it, please e-mail Info@Philosoft.hu. Please note that by doing so, you also grant the Author permission to use and incorporate your ideas or comments into the Software without further compensation.

EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY: THIS SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED BY THE AUTHOR ‘AS IS’ AND ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE DISCLAIMED. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES; LOSS OF USE, DATA, OR PROFITS; OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) HOWEVER CAUSED AND ON ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE) ARISING IN ANY WAY OUT OF THE USE OF THIS SOFTWARE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

TERMINATION - This Agreement shall terminate automatically if you fail to comply with all terms of this Agreement. Upon termination, you must uninstall and destroy all copies of the Software.

GOVERNING LAW - All litigations concerning this Agreement shall be settled in Hungary by the laws in effect on the territory of the Hungarian Republic at the time of the agreement.
